The kitchen is often considered the heart of a home, and in this case, that sentiment rings true. The owners, who devote considerable time to cooking and entertaining, desired a home that would reflect this passion. Acquired in 2007, the original dilapidated weatherboard home posed numerous challenges, prompting the owners to ultimately opt for a demolish-and-rebuild project after encountering a few setbacks.
The resulting contemporary double-storey residence was constructed on a timber subfloor to accommodate the land's slope, providing the flexibility they sought. While mindful of their budget, the owners prioritized functionality and thoughtful design in every room of the house.
